The Department of Physiotherapy at Metropolitan College successfully organized a scientific seminar on Saturday, November 2, titled:
“Contemporary Perspectives in the Therapeutic Approach to Low Back Pain.”
The event took place at the college’s main auditorium and was addressed to professional physiotherapists, students, and scientists with an interest in the topic.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Nikki Petty, Principal Lecturer, Programme Leader of the Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care, and Course Leader of the MRes in Clinical Research at the University of Brighton. Dr. Petty is an internationally renowned professor and the author of two books. At the end of the seminar, she conducted a workshop titled:
“Interpretation of findings in a clinical paper – Case study of a person with low back pain,”
where she offered an in-depth analysis of the findings from a case study of a patient with low back pain, through the lens of clinical reasoning.
